Join us on August 8, 2023 at 10am CST for the first installment in the WBG Webinar Series: Regulatory Topics, presented by Jeff Glazer. In this presentation, Jeff will discuss a broad range of relevant regulatory topics within the brewing industry. These topics include:

Three-Tier Framework - How federal and state law works together to keep alcohol beverage participants in their lane. This will look specifically at operational limits (e.g., self-distribution, tasting rooms, etc.), cross-tier ownership issues, tied-house laws, and an introduction to how this issue gets complicated as you leave the state.

Permits - Here we will look at the process for filing for federal and state permits for breweries and brewpubs including COLA requirements, when recipe approval is necessary, excise tax filing requirements, and brand registration and other considerations outside of Wisconsin.

Contract Manufacturing - This section will look at regulatory issues specific to being a Host or Guest in a contract situation. It will look at the Recipe Brewer permit, discuss alternating proprietorship and other contractual relationships, and talk about ways in which these relationships can be complicated when leaving the state.

We are very excited to bring the first of many webinars to the Guild and it's members. We hope that this, and future webinars, will be beneficial, relevant, and educational opportunities that will help provide even more value and knowledge to our members and help them continue to lead a successful brewery here in Wisconsin!
